Plain English — how your details are used when you join a pub's list.
When you join, the pub you signed up with is responsible for your details (the “data controller”). Loyal Local — run by GeeTee Consulting — handles them on that pub's behalf to deliver the service (the “data processor”).
Your name, email, mobile number and postcode, and — only if you choose to give it — your birthday for birthday treats.
To send you that pub's offers and alerts — beer offers, food deals, rooms and events — by email and text. We do this because you gave your consent when you ticked the box to join. Separately, we may use information in an anonymised, combined form that can't identify you — see ‘Anonymised insights’ below.
You can unsubscribe from any message with one tap, at any time. You can also ask the pub to remove you from their list completely, or ask for a copy of the details they hold about you.
We never sell or share your personal details. Your name, email, mobile number and postcode are never sold, shared, or used for advertising. Only the pub you joined and Loyal Local (to run the service) can see them. They are kept while you are a member and removed on request, or if the pub leaves the service.
Independent pubs are under real pressure. To help them, we combine information from across all the pubs that use Loyal Local into anonymised statistics — for example, which kinds of offer work best, or how much quieter nights pick up. This helps local pubs understand their customers better and find opportunities to save money and stay open, to the benefit of the whole community. These figures are stripped of anything that could identify you and can never be traced back to you as an individual. We may share or sell these anonymised, combined insights to support pubs and the wider trade. Because they contain no personal information, they are not ‘your details’ — the promise above still holds.
